Welcome to Alaska! I am Jay, and I will be showing you around Alaska for the next few days and helping you get to the RCI Ovation for your Friday. We have a great tour planned, and I am excited to show you around Alaska! While we are touring, I will be sharing facts and stories to keep you entertained and informed about Alaska. I will also be handling all the logistics and stresses of travel. We also have Abigail, a wonderful coach driver, who will be getting us everywhere we are going safely and on time. Together, Abigail and I will be doing everything we can to make sure that all you have to do is relax and have a great time here in Alaska.
I will be using my personal tour website at http://www.jaytheotter.net to communicate with you throughout the tour. I will post updates and other information I want to share with the group while we are not together. You can get in touch with me more directly – my cell phone number is 505-321-0154. You are free to reach out to me by call or text message 24 hours a day throughout the tour.
Some initial first steps to having a great tour:
1. Please fill out the welcome form at http://www.jaytheotter.net/welcome at your earliest convenience. That will give me some basic information I need to make the tour run smoothly and safely for everyone.
2. I recommend downloading the Photocircle app and joining our circle to freely share photos and videos with other travelers on this tour. I find that it greatly enhances the guest experience. Ask me for an invitation to the circle.
3. We are on a quick tour, but there are still several customization opportunities that you can take advantage of to make your Alaskan expedition uniquely your own. I will hand out a form with several possibilities for things that you can do on our tour. If you choose to take advantage of one, I will book it for you at a time it fits in our schedule, including transportation to and from our hotel, and take payment for it.
4. Let me know how many luggage tags you need. I will use these luggage tags to ensure that your luggage gets from your old hotel room to your new hotel room each day. All you’ll need to do is put your name on the tag, put the tag on each piece of luggage, and then put the luggage outside your hotel room door at the time I tell you each morning. If you have more tags than bags you’re putting outside in any given morning, please double-tag bags so that all the tags I have given you are with your luggage each morning – if there is a missing tag I will have to figure out what happened to it before we leave in the morning.
If you have any other questions, please let me know. I want this to be the tour of a lifetime for you, and I want to know if there is anything I can do to help make that happen
